Many people dream of traveling to Europe to tour historical sites and the great castles. The castle of Thieusies in Belgium is such a site that has become a reality for the campers at this Impact Youth Worldwide location. This four hundred year old castle described as “the Chateau” was purchased in 2004.
The castle contains fifty-four rooms and is situated on thirty acres of beautiful manicured and historical grounds. This property was a battleground in World War I and World War II, and still contains bunkers made of earthen mounds that were used to shield the occupying forces.
Located just outside of Soignies, Belgium, and only a forty-five minute drive from Brussels, this Highlands camp provides a Christian retreat for high school and college students and others from all over Europe. Primarily, the outreach is to French and Flemish youth in proclaiming the Good News of Salvation.
In partnership and cooperation with local churches and pastors, Highlands Belgium is molding a group of world changers.
